HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. Wish I Read The Reviews But I Was In So Much Pain I Went With The First Office That Would Be Available To Do A Root Canal For Me.

I Always Forget To Ask For My X-rays So I Made Sure To Ask The Dental Assistant For Them At The Beginning Of My Appointment She Said She Let The Front Staff Know. But After My Appointment About 1.5hrs I Had To Ask For Them Again & Wait For Her (girl with pink glasses) To Crop Them & She Had An Attitude About It. Anyway..

Dr. John Kanegawa Was… Something Else. I Could Literally FEEL His Frustration As He Kept Yanking My Mouth & Pushing The Rubber Spacer In My Mouth. I Know He Didn’t Read My File Because If He Had He Would’ve Known That My Jaw Is Sensitive Due To A Previous Fracture In 2025 & It Literally Brought Tears To My Eyes How Rough He Was. I Tried To Raise My Hand For Him To Remove It Momentarily So I Could Tell Him But He Didn’t Care Told Me To Relax. When He Asked His Assistant To Switch It Out I Asked Them If They Could Be Gentle Because My Jaw Was Broken Last Year & It Hurt (His Assisnt Acknowledged, Apologized, & Did – He Could Care Less It Seemed). & When I Yelped In Pain As He Was Shoving A Needle In The Tooth He Literally Said “UGH Oh My God” Asked For More Numbing Stuff & YANKED My Mouth To Put It In.

He Was Also Really Rude To His Assistant, I Felt Bad For Her & It Made Me Uncomfortable. He Said To Her “It’s Been 5 Weeks You Should Know This By Now” Then Continued Saying Things Like “This Is Ridiculous” “I’m Not Going To Tell You Again” “You Work Around Me” & He Kept Saying “Oh My God” Under His Breath.

He Asked For Some Tool & She Said That Was The Last One & He Said “That Better Not Be It Should’ve Been Ordered Long Before” & She Said She’ll Go Check For More. When She Left He Said “Ugh She’s So Slow” Made Me Scared That They Might Not Have Had Everything They Needed To Do The Procedure Properly… I Do Appreciate His Diligence Though Because At One Point His Assistant Handed Him A Needle That He Said HAD ALREADY BEEN USED & SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRASHED… Hopefully It Had Been Used On Me.

After Insurance I Paid $197 For The Root Canal So I’m Not Upset About That Because The Endodontist In Hershey Was Charging Me $400.

I Have Never Been Handled So Harshly By A Medical Or Dental Professional. I Felt Like I Was Getting On His Nerves Because I Was In Pain SMH. Very Unprofessional Establishment. No One Introduced Themselves, Dr Didn’t Give Me Any Post Op Instructions Until After He Walked By & I Asked The Receptionist For His Name, & They Talked About Things I As The Patient Feel I Shouldn’t Have Heard. I WILL NEVER RETURN.

I have a high opinion of Barbara, but a low opinion of the overall practice. In March I had to wait on the chair for the dentist for 45 minutes after my cleaning, only for him to poke around in my mouth for a few minutes with no acknowledgement of the delay.

In October, I arrived at the office for an early appointment to find a text saying that the appointment needed to be rescheduled, sent after I was already en route. They never contacted me to reschedule. That’s fine because I am done with this office wasting my time.

Love my New Dental Hygienist!!! Cleans teeth to perfection.My Dentist is always awesome. Front desk can use a little more up beat in greeting patients/checking out.

Had a root canal done in August 2025. We’re in November 2025 now & the tooth that I had a root canal done on became infected pus and blood coming out of my gums. Dr. John told me that I broke my tooth that he had did a root canal on. I dont know how thats possibly I dont play sports and I was never chewing on rocks.Honestly I dont ever think the cap which is the tooth replacement when you get a root canal was even fitted properly from the beginning. He doesn’t like to take accountability that maybe he just didnt do a proper root canal. His energy is poor.Honestly he just needs to retire i will absolutely not ever go back. I gave the 1 star because I did like the dental assistants they were very nice and had bedside manners.

This is by far the best dentist I’ve been to! All the staff are so nice and inviting . I was so nervous about getting my first root canal but they made me feel so comfortable. Definitely 10/10
