I have been a patient of this office for many years, but I have noticed a huge change in the operations of this office since the name change, and more specifically after private equity invested in this dental office. Now I feel that I am constantly being pushed for services and additional costs that I do not need. Many examples I will share:
I have two cleanings a year included with my insurance. For years, at this and other dental offices, I received positive feedback about my dental health, since I do not even remember when I last had a cavity. During a visit in late 2025 for a regular cleaning, the hygienist said that they wanted to do a “deep cleaning” instead of a regular cleaning. She provided the reasons and didn’t touch my teeth that day. I agreed, thinking it was also covered by insurance.
To my surprise, when I attended the deep cleaning appointment, they told me upfront that I needed to pay about $360 out of pocket. I was surprised and asked for an itemized estimate. They listed a bunch of items I did not need, such as a laser service and more. I was not happy that I had to pay out of pocket but agreed to the service. In the end, the deep cleaning was very similar to a regular cleaning, just a little longer, and honestly, I didn’t feel any difference. I also feel that a regular cleaning would have been enough in my case.
A similar situation occurred during a regular cleaning visit, where I was told that the computer was showing some red flags on some areas of my teeth. I didn’t feel anything unusual, and even the dentist came and visually checked my teeth and saw nothing. But since the computer showed those red-flag spots, they insisted on additional X-rays. Again, I was reluctant and unhappy about the unscheduled X-rays, but I agreed. As you can imagine, the X-rays showed nothing concerning, but they received extra income for the service instead of just the regular cleaning visit.
Lastly, during the checkout of a previous cleaning, the hygienist included a rinse product that they are now selling, and I had to explicitly say I didn’t want it to avoid it being included in the out-of-pocket bill.
All in all, after the private equity takeover, I feel constantly pressured for extra services. I am not happy about it and am seriously considering joining another practice. I miss how the office operated before.

For my entire adult life I have hated going to the dentist. It was always painful and they were so pushy, but now I have found Espire Dental!!! Today Amanda and Lexi provided me the most amazing cleaning and check up. They were informative but not push!
I also was impressed with the front desk staff. I arrived a little early and they provided me periodic updates so I ever felt forgot/ignored even though I was early.
My teeth are sparkling clean and I’m so happy!
