My family has gone to Dr.Shaw’s dental practice for well over 10 years. He always provides excellent care to myself and [now] adult children. He is honest, fair, and reasonably priced for those who are cash pay. His staff is equally great & makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

HORRIBLE. I should have sued.

When I went to get my fillings done they were having an incredibly offensive conversation, talked about religion and politics and controversial hateful topics that I disagreed with right in front of me as they were messing with my teeth-SUPER unprofessional.

The tools they put in my mouth had lots of unknown “sediment” caked on them, from the little mirror to pokey tools. The dentist didn’t wear a mask either. Gross. Not sanitary at all.

At no point during my visit was I informed as to what was going on. He never told me what was happening, even when he was giving me a shot, there was no warning so I almost flinched away. After I got the first anesthetic shot, he joked/threatened? About me getting 5 more. Absurd, not professional.

He drilled in the wrong tooth MULTIPLE TIMES! And now my teeth that I didn’t have anything wrong with look bad as well and super uneven… I’m only 20 😢

After all that, maybe two hours passed, I hadn’t eaten anything or chewed, but one of the fillings popped out! In the words of my new dentist, “How the hell do you screw up an occlusial filling?” He didn’t cure them.

I went over to them with my friend after all this, and asked them to print out my medical records, saying I would be moving soon, and they refused, saying if I wanted they could send x-rays to my new dentist but they wouldn’t print out my records for me. Very sketchy and illegal!

I was very fed up and my dad went with me to go get the records, we had to be very insistent and they finally gave in when reminded they legally had to, but seemed in no rush. So, they are sexist and ageist as well, only willing to hand over information when threatened with legal action by an older man. Disgusting.

I finally got an email with the X-rays, but they still would not share any of the records of things that they did to my teeth. It came with a note about blaming me, saying that I must not have “rinsed properly” while in the office. Well, they never told me how to “rinse properly!” They also told me that the filling couldn’t have fallen out, and I went to an emergency dentist and they said it definitely did and needed to be redone. Absurd! Insane! Went here 3 years for cleanings and stuff and knew they were unprofessional and unhygienic, but this really was horrible and I can’t let this keep going on.

Amazing experience. I was having issues and they got me in the next day and really worked with me to figure out what was going on with my tooth. They handled the issue and I’m now feeling much better. I loved the staff. They made me feel as if I have known them my whole life. I was very comfortable and I don’t normally feel so relaxed at a dentist office. I will be recommending to everyone I know. And I’m actually looking forward to my next visit !

This office has been SO amazing to me!
I initially called to have a tooth looked at that was causing me problems, they got me in ASAP! Not only did they get me in ASAP, but I needed referred to a specialist for a molar root canal because the doctor was completely honest with me and said the molar roots need a special technique due to the curvature. I LOVE that he was comfortable enough to tell me that and send me to a wonderful office to have that done. I had my follow up to have a filling out in, terrified and all, the hygienist held my hand the entire time the doctor did my filling. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Genuine and thorough work, genuine people, and AMAZING results.

Sadly I need new dentures. They was having trouble trying to get my fit right! I so believe cause the impressions were done in such a hurry. He said no problem! We will get this fixed until the day I die! Hmm last time it was to go get my wax try in for the second time. It didn’t even look like I had any teeth. I expressed this several times how I wanted them to look! I didn’t not take them once again! So wanted to start over. He got an attitude! Made the comment about me wanting horse teeth! I was so humiliated for days! With his comment. And also was talking about another patient how they was going to go somewhere else and they were glad! I can imagine what they had to say about me. Sorry I didn’t want your ugly dentures. I want it to look like I have teeth ! I DO NOT HAVE HORSE TEETH! (DO BETTER)GLAD MY INSURANCE GOT MY MONEY BACK! Hope you feel better Dr. Shaw of how you made me feel for days. Very unprofessional.!
