This was my third time visiting this place. I scheduled an appointment for a teeth cleaning. When I called they asked if my insurance information was still the same, and I confirmed that it was. They scheduled my appointment without mentioning anything about pre-approval.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that they needed to send my insurance for pre-approval. I understand that this is part of the process, but I assumed it would have been submitted before my appointment since they already had my insurance information on file. Instead, I waited more than two weeks expecting to have my teeth cleaned, only to find out it could not be done that day.
The old lady with an aggressive tone said, “This is how it works.” I explained that I understand the process but I should have been informed in advance. She eventually said she was sorry, but the interaction was unpleasant and unprofessional.
Dr. Z and the hygienist were wonderful and very kind. but this experience was disappointing. If the clinic wants to run professionally, better to train the front desk staff professionally.

Amazing experience! I called for the first time because my mom was having tooth pain, and they were able to see her the very same day. The service was excellent—Dr. Do and the team at Dental One Associates provided outstanding care. My mom is already feeling so much better, and it’s a relief to know she’s receiving the best treatment possible. Highly recommend!
Love this dental office. Everyone is so friendly from the moment entering the door. Great experience with stafff!! Awesome! I had an appointment for two fillings, but my crown came off. They agreed to take a look at this appointment. It was determined the crown was cracked and required replacement. They did it on the spot!!!! Other offices would have scheduled 2-3 more appointments to address. Definitely efficient and effective!! Totally appreciate for the busy professional!!

I scheduled dental appointments for my family at this office. My husband and my son were seen first, and both had a fine experience. They are lighter-skinned, and there were no issues during their visits.
Because of their experience, I scheduled an appointment for myself. I want to be transparent that I have more extensive dental needs and am actively working on maintaining my dental health. I came in expecting an evaluation and a clear explanation of next steps.
Unfortunately, my experience was very different.
When I was presented with a treatment plan and an unexpected charge that same day, I calmly and respectfully asked for clarity about the bill and how the treatment plan was created. There was no argument or disagreement. I was not upset or confrontational. I simply wanted an explanation so I could fully understand the process. I made it clear that I was willing to pay and move forward once I had that understanding.
Rather than explaining the process or allowing anyone else to do so, Deborah, who I was told is the manager, became dismissive and refused to engage in the conversation. She abruptly stated that she would remove all charges, told me I did not have to pay anything, and made it clear that she wanted me to leave. I was dismissed without explanation and told to have a good day. The interaction felt less about resolving the issue and more about removing me from her presence. This was never about money. It was about communication and respect.
At the time, I assumed she may have needed space and that I could follow up later since I was willing to pay for the treatment plan and continue care. However, shortly after, I began experiencing severe tooth pain and attempted to call the office to ask whether I could move forward with treatment or receive guidance based on my previous visit. After providing my name, I was placed on hold while staff spoke with the manager Deborah. I was then told directly over the phone that they refused to see me and was encouraged to look up other providers. Those were the exact words used.
What made this even more concerning is that despite denying me care, the office continued to request a Google review and encouraged my son to continue treatment there. I was unaware that my husband had scheduled another appointment for my son, which prompted me to call to confirm whether an appointment was already on the calendar. During that call, Deborah again spoke condescendingly and stated that they do not place people on the schedule without their knowledge and that is not how they work.
Given that I had been explicitly denied care, I explained that I no longer felt comfortable having my son treated at a facility that treated me this way. Her response was that this was absolutely fine, said in a dismissive and condescending manner, followed immediately by asking for my son’s name so she could cancel his appointment without hesitation. The lack of professionalism and empathy was shocking.
I do not use the word discrimination lightly, but the difference in how I was treated compared to my husband and son was noticeable and deeply unsettling. Asking calm and reasonable questions about billing and treatment plans should never result in hostility, dismissal, or denial of care.
Dental care is important, and so is respectful and transparent communication. Unfortunately, this office failed significantly in that area. I hope this feedback encourages better professionalism, accountability, and respect toward all patients.

I highly recommend Dental One Woodbridge to anyone looking for top-notch dental care. It’s not just the excellent dental work that stands out, but the warmth and kindness of everyone here. It’s rare to find a practice with skilled dentists and a caring professional staff.
Additionally, the hygienist was gentle yet thorough, and the results were fantastic.
