Vacationed in Palmetto FL and rv travel trailer had an unexpected wheel bearings cap issue and wanted a professional to assess if any damage before returning on lengthy drive home. Discovered the hubcap center cover blown out and what appeared to be an off center grease cap or bearing visible while checking tire air pressure and lugnuts for return trip on the weekend night. Ed of Truck Doctor arrived first thing Sunday morning and assessed the dust cap blew off possibly from weak cap wall damage and could not be reused. He visited 4 shops before finding the correct part probable 20 miles away at Bradenton Tractor Supply and about 2 hours searching so he did not give up! Ed finished the job and we departed on our return trip feeling confident there wasn’t a serious problem and knowing that water would not seep into the bearings. Had Ed buy a spare set of parts too! Ed said he specializes in semitrailers and does some tow trailers but sort of shies away from Class A RVs due to their complexity and part’s availability but he has done that work. Thanks ro Ed for accommodating our emergency weekend service!!!!

We threw a belt on our shuttle bus with a load of teenagers just before the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Because it’s an aftermarket AC it was a nightmare to find the right part, but Ed made as many trips as it took to get one and did an expert job in getting us back to Fort Myers. Gave us a reasonable price and pleasant to work with. I don’t want to break down in the Tampa area again, but if I do, I’m calling these guys!

We have thrown them a lot of work since moving to FL… HOWEVER RECENTLY they have changed hands and the customer service has seriously gone downhill. We have spent thousands here and after our last diesel repair Ed has stopped answering the phone. We had them replace our turbo/actuator and while the truck was on the lot they had a heavy piece of equipment hit our truck. We were very understanding until Ed stopped answering the phone. We had to show up in person to get our truck back (even after they had it fixed). We got the truck back and now our exhaust brake does not work and they will not answer the phone to fix it (this is on them). I do not recommend this shop after this… extremely unprofessional.

Called him on Sunday morning because my car battery died, the issue was I couldn’t get my hood open because the pull release was snapped. He had me text him the address and he was able to get to me within 20 mins. He was able to get the hood open very quickly and I was able to replace my battery.
Quick, reliable and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about these folks!!! On my way to the airport in our DP Motorhome, to pick up my wife on her return flight from up North, I broke down by the side of the road on Easter Sunday!!! Called these folks and within an hour they were on site! Once again on Easter morning! Diagnosing my problem. Well it turns out my AC compressor had seized up and broke the serpentine belt. Parts were not available Sunday but Dr Ed, the truck doctor, assured me that the following morning he could get the stuff I needed and get me back on the road. True to his word, early the following day, he was there with all the parts and got on the job- He really knows his stuff!!! No messing around, he just took care of business in an incredible professional manner- guys like this should get a raise!!!
Communication with the office was smooth and was really easy. They gave me very fair pricing for a big job…
